K Trio in concert at LP's Bar
17 Dec 2019 20 Dec 2019
Karim J. Essade is a Lausanne-based singer-songwriter who first made a career in the United States as a composer of jingles and commercial music, then studied at the Lausanne Conservatory and continued his musical training at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, before moving to New Work where he became a composer for a famous jingle design agency by day, and a jazz pianist in Manhattan and Brooklyn at night.
This warm and exceptional pianist knows how to take his audience with him to the soul, groove and jazzy rhythms of his K-Trio band. Accompanied by Yorick Hossfeld, a drummer and Pedro Martinez, a double bass player, he explores the repertoires of traditional jazz, soul and groove, from Frank Sinatra to Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder, Michaël Jackson, Elton John or Count Basie, without forgetting of course the more recent hits that the trio always takes up with inspiration.
The Soul, groove and jazz sound of the group K Trio is in the spotlight at LP's Bar every evening from December 17th to 20th, 2019.
