Laurent Koutaïssoff - Prix des lecteurs de la ville de Lausanne
Born in 1966 in Montreux, Laurent Koutaïssoff studied literature at the University of Lausanne. He currently works in the Vaud cantonal administration. He is the author of plays, three novels, Atlas (Campiche), Le sourire de Thérèse (Slatkine), La Mort de la carpe (id.) and a collection of poetry, Les Chemins à l'envers (id.).
Christophe grew up with parents whose game, both playful and cruel, was to travel without leaving home. When they die, as a DVD seller and passionate reader of the Count of Monte Cristo, he sets fire to their apartment. A novel of liberation from the past and resilience, Atlas is a powerful evocation of family dysfunction and the power of imagination and literature.
The meeting takes place on Saturday, February 6th at 11am.
